A glittering professional's career can conceal some of the darkest tales. Lolo Jones, winner of both the USA championships and the World Champion in hurdles was able to achieve her standing with lots of effort as well as a lot of patient. Jones was the only member of a family with five children as well as grew up in extreme poverty. Her mother was always in motion and even been living in the basement of a church for some period of time. Jones needed to go to an entirely new high school every year because of her nomadic lifestyle. Jones who was interested in the track events in Theodore Roosevelt the high school stayed far from her mother to follow her passion. Jones was part of different families during high school to be capable of focusing on her academics. Jones received an award called the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athlete of the Year Award during her time at school. She also was involved in the school orchestra as a cello player. Jones started her professional career at the college level as one of the top hurdlers. At the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship she took home in the 100m hurdles. Jones was also part of the team that finished second in the 100-meter Relay event. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles contest in 2003 and the 2004. Jones has been training since 2005, when she completed her education. That same year she took home the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event as well as Heusden.

Brandt moved to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in the latter part of her adolescence. Brandt, discovered by local casting agents, took the lead part of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was one of the main stars of this series, working with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Mazikeen played the Vertigo/DC comics popular Mazikeen in Netflix's Lucifer, which ran for six seasons. Lucifer has broken the record of binge viewing and was named as the best series to binge in 2021 according to Forbes. Brandt is next seen in a six-episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira that will premiere in 2024. She also stars alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in an adult-oriented film which will premiere on Netflix July 20, 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt was born on the 2nd of December, 1981, in Cape Town South Africa. She's a very talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt along with the rest of her family relocated into Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. She began her career working in Auckland as a retail store owner, and was then elevated to an IT manager consultant. After several modeling assignments, Lesley appeared in many commercials. She completed her degree in acting and further trained in Meisner ways of learning. The first big acting role for Lesley was on New Zealand's TV show Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on the New Zealand's television drama Shortland Street as a supporting actor. Later she appeared in a sci-fi thriller called This Is Not My Life that is based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a young hostage and later depicts in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena mini-series.
