Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress, born three days before Halloween, 1983, in Los Angeles. Thompson is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and the granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Her family was born within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her father is of African-Panamanian ancestry and her mother is of Mexican and British Isles descent. Thompson went to Santa Monica High School, which she appeared in several theatre productions. After graduation, she enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she received a bachelor's certificate in the field of cultural Anthropology. She was a part of Juliet in the William Shakespeare play "Romeo and Juliet" in a play performed at the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California. It was her nomination for the NAACP Theatre Award in the same year. Tessa made her debut on TV in 2005. She was on the show as on a CBS Series.
